Meetings On-Board

Starting in 2010, DEFSEC Atlantic has been able to expand its selection of on-site meeting spaces by utilizing some of the suitable spaces on-board HMCS Sackville.  The ship is berthed at Pier 23 during the event, alongside the Cunard Centre and provides a number of spaces with a historically interesting atmosphere where private meetings can be held.

There are 5 locations on the ship which can be utilized and are listed below, complete with capacity numbers and an image of the space in question.

All locations have access to power, in the event that equipment such as a laptop needs to be plugged in during a meeting.

DEFSEC Atlantic staff will be available to guide you to the location of the ship at the time of your meeting where you will then be greeted by one of the volunteers from the HMCS Sackville who will show you to the location of your meeting room within the ship.

Please note that since this is a wartime-era ship, some of the access into the rooms can be a bit steep compared to regular stairs and care should be taken when going through these parts of the ship.

The areas of the ship available for meetings are:
 

Meeting Room A - The Board Room Capacity: Up to 12 people
Meeting Room B - The Forward Messdeck Capacity: Up to 8 people
Meeting Room C - The After Messdeck Capacity: Up to 12 people
Meeting Room D - The Wardroom Mess Capacity: Up to 12 people
Meeting Room E - The Wheelhouse Capacity: Up to 2 people
